Baldwin Chiu brings a lifetime of movement mastery and athletic insight to his work with students and athletes alike. With over 30 years of martial arts and Tai Chi experience, including over 25 years as a teacher. He bridges traditional internal arts with modern, performance-driven training. A three-time Tai Chi champion, Baldwin’s practice reflects technical excellence, discipline, and depth of experience.
His teaching philosophy emphasizes efficiency, awareness, and longevity. Baldwin has guided students of all ages and abilities toward improved balance, mobility, and mind-body connection, helping them move with greater confidence and control both on and off the training floor.
A former high school quarterback, Baldwin’s football career was cut short by injury, a pivotal moment that led him into martial arts. That experience continues to shape his approach and his commitment to helping athletes train smarter and move more efficiently through the application of Tai Chi principles.
Baldwin has served as a trainer and consultant for the Sacramento State University football team, applying martial arts concepts to enhance flexibility, focus, injury prevention, and overall performance. In addition, he coaches individual athletes, designing customized programs that build agility, conditioning, and resilience while supporting long-term physical health.
Beyond teaching and coaching, Baldwin has also performed stunt work in a variety of films, drawing on his martial arts expertise to support physical storytelling and movement authenticity.
